This weekend features an opportunity to meet five outstanding Frederick County Artists at the “A Colorful Collaborative” exhibit and sale. Featuring works by Artists Liz Holm, Colleen Clapp, Calvin Edward Ramsburg, Jane Byron, and Cristy Stup the event will be held in the renovated Studio / barn at the Byron farm located in a lovely rural setting at 8926 Mt. Tabor Road near Middletown, MD.

Each of the five Artists is well known locally for their original and highly colorful works. This event showcases each of them both separately and collectively. The event takes place on Saturday, June 19, 2010 from 11-5 P.M. and on Sunday June 20, 2010 from 12-5 P.M. The Artists will be on hand to discuss their works with visitors.

Saturday, June 19, 2010 features the 2010 Barnstormers Tour promoted by the Frederick County Landmarks Foundation. Featuring seven Frederick County barns along with an 1800s mill, all of historic and architectural interest, the event is a self guided tour and takes place from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. Tickets are $15 for adults, children under 16 are free. Tickets and a guide / map to the barns open for the tour may be purchased at the Schifferstadt Architectural Museum located at 1110 Rosemont Avenue or the Tourism Council of Frederick County visitor center located at 19 E. Church Street.
