Barnstormers Tour
06/23/2011
The 2011 Barnstormers Tour of the “Barns of Glade Valley”, sponsored by the Frederick County Landmarks Foundation, was held on Saturday June 18th and was quite successful with reports of over 500 attendees. The weather was nice, if a little humid, and the selection of barns on the tour was varied and eclectic. Visitors enjoyed a guided tour of the historic structures along with an opportunity to observe en plein air artists demonstrating their artistic talents at each site. The closing reception / art exhibit was held in Walkersville and was also quite well attended.
Below are some of the images created during the day.
