You can download a printable brochure listing all of the events HERE.
Among the numerous galleries open this Saturday be sure to stop by the following :
The Frederick Arts Council will hold an exhibit opening and reception featuring works by members of the Frederick County Arts Association. The reception will be held in the Cultural Arts Center Gallery at 15 N. Market Street from 5-9 P. M.
The Artists Gallery (4 E. Church Street) will hold an exhibit opening and reception from 5-8:30 P.M. There will also be works by Artist Gallery members on display for viewing.
The Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center ( 40 S. Carroll Street) will feature an exhibit of drawings and photography by Martin Slater & Michael Goulding in addition to a juried photography exhibit featuring both emerging and professional photographers. See their website for additional information.
If you are out for a drive in the country and heading towards Knoxville you might want to stop in to Pleasant Valley Studios (19419 Frog Eye Road, Knoxville, MD) to see works by Antonio, Jonna, & Toby Mendez. Each of the family members is an artist in their own right and their works range from painting to photography to sculpture. An exhibit worth the trip.

A Diversity of Vision - As briefly mentioned at the top of this post this is a photography exhibit by friends Don Dunsmore, Noah Jefferson and Russ Poole. Featuring recent works by each we attempt, through two comparative groupings and the remainder personal pieces, to show how every person views the world in a slightly different manner. The grouped images were created while we were photographing the same areas on the same day and at the same time. Though we all saw the same thing each of us interpreted the scenes before us in a unique way. This individual vision can also be seen to carry over into our personal work - even when the subject matter is similar.
To meet the Artists and to gain a little insight into how the Artist mind works join us at the opening reception for this exhibit in The Blanche Ames Gallery of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Frederick (directions HERE)on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. In addition to the images in the gallery being for sale each artist will have a selection of cards and / or unframed prints available for purchase.
