Starting Saturday June 5, 2010 : First up and in conjunction with the Frederick First Saturday (brochure download is on lower left) events is the 17th Annual Frederick Festival of the Arts taking place on Saturday, June 5th & Sunday, June 6th. Held along the beautiful Carroll Creek Promenade in downtown Frederick the event features both local and national artists displaying their works along with live music and plenty of food and drink vendors. The Festival hours are 10 A.M to 6 P.M on Saturday & 11A.M. to 5 P.M. on Sunday. There is plenty of parking available and admission is FREE!
Saturday June 5, 2010 : An exhibit reception will take place at the Frederick Arts Council’s Cultural Arts Center gallery for Artist Leiann Klein. The exhibit features Ms. Klein’s cut linoleum prints representing themes from the West. Stop by to meet the Artist and look at her prints during the reception from 5:00-9:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 5, 2010.

Saturday June 5, 2010 : The Frederick County Art Association is displaying an exhibit of members works at the Frederick Community College. An opening reception for the exhibit, with many of the Artists in attendance, will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. The exhibit will be on display in the Mary Condon Hodgson gallery located in the lobby of the Jack B. Kussmaul theater in the Arts and Student Center.

Sunday June 6, 2010 : Our good friends at the Blanche Ames Gallery, located in the Unitarian Universalist Church (directions here ) just outside of Frederick, MD, will be hosting an exhibit by the Friday Painters From Shepherdstown from June 2, 2010 to June 27, 2010. The exhibit will include works by Artists Nancy Kautz, Pat Donahue, Michael Austin, and other members of this group. A reception for the Artists and the opening of the exhibit will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, June 6, 2010. If you are in the area take time to stop by and meet some of the Artists.
