It's our one year Anniversary!

Hard to believe it was one year ago today this website went online. It is also the anniversary of our very first blog post! Time really does fly and it has been quite an adventure!
This Saturday, March 6, 2010 marks the return of First Saturday events to the streets of downtown Frederick. So far it doesn’t look like we will have to deal with another major snow event as we did in February... The temperatures for Frederick on Saturday are currently projected to be in the low 50s with lots of sunshine and light breezes. The Downtown Frederick Partnership provides additional information and a downloadable brochure about First Saturday events here, and info about downtown attractions and merchants here.
UPCOMING : On Monday, March 8, 2010, Russ will be giving a presentation at a meeting of the Frederick County Art Association (FCAA) about publishing your book. Intended as an overview of the process, from idea to print, he will be providing a basic plan for taking your book from your initial thoughts to the completed ready to sell product. The information he will share can be applied to any book regardless of genre. Russ will also talk about how we produced America’s Road along with some of the mistakes and missteps we made in hope of giving the audience a better vision of what bringing a book to print entails. We will also be providing a handout listing basic steps and options along with useful resources. The meeting will take place in the Gardiner Room of the Delaplaine Visual Arts and Entertainment Center (directions HERE) and begins at 7:30 P.M. The meeting is free and the public is invited to attend.
